West Loch Modular Housing

The City & County of Honolulu’s compelling need to address the affordable housing problem resulted in a Governor’s emergency proclamation to provide housing for the homeless and at-risk of becoming homeless. SSFM provided Construction Management and Inspection services for the project’s civil portion in converting a vacant site into a three-story building with 58 residential units on a 1.5-acre site. The residences were constructed of modular components allowing for quicker construction and cost savings.

“We are proud to be a small part of the solution for the homeless and at-risk situation here on the island of Oahu. Many that never owned a key to a safe housing environment can now place efforts in other areas of their life and be a resource and productive member of the community.” explains SSFM’s Manager for Construction Management, Ranelle Ho.
